Mr Saleem did his LLM from the University
of Toronto besides being a Masters in
Economics from Government College, Lahore and
was practicing corporate and commercial law
before joining Escorts Investment Bank
Limited. He has taught at various highly
reputable institutions in the subjects of
‘Corporate Governance’ and ‘Deal Making’.
In addition to being a joint author of a study
published by International Trade Centre,
Geneva, he regularly contributes towards
various National English Dailies/ Law
Journals.
Corporate & Legal Affairs
This Division manages the processes involved with developing and implementing company legislation, regulation and best practices. The Division also develops and oversees the systems which ensure that the Bank complies with all applicable codes as well as its legal and statutory requirements. By making sure that legal and regulatory requirements are covered, this Division provides the basis from which the Bank can successfully operate and develop.
In addition to above, the Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs, Mr Saleem, also performs Secretarial
duties in his capacity as the Company Secretary of the Bank. He is responsible for ensuring that
Board members are properly advised of their responsibilities by coordinating the proper and
efficient flow of information to them. He provides required input and advises members of the
Legal and Governance implications of proposed policies. |
